We thank you, dear friends, for your 2023 support towards our Family Care Projects in Kenya such as the Olives Rehabilitation Center which serves the marginalized community of Bombolulu, Mombasa, as well as the Stev-In Junior School located in the Gichagi Slum, Nairobi.

The recent sharp increase for basic commodities and fuel in the country has left many low-income-families suffer more hardships. Poverty is on the rise and especially children are affected by insufficient quality of nutrition as well as the poor living conditions in the slums. The above mentioned Informal Schools provide education up to Standard 8 for 260 children from such impoverished households. A sponsored daily school lunch combats mal-nutrition and free education helps the attendees to achieve their goals. Throughout the years many of the brightest pupils have received funding for further education, which enables them to later secure employment as teachers, nurses, mechanics or electricians, thus building a better future for themselves and their families.

During out October visits both schools received needs such as books, blankets, provision for school lunches, cooking utensils and cleaning supplies. A number of the neighborhood‘s poorest families received Care Packages

Funding for needed kitchen and floor repairs, new tables and chairs, as well as overhauling toilet facilities.
