Dear Friends, Thank you for your continued support which enables us to keep reaching out to poor and needy families. We  would like to share here what your faithful help accomplishes. It is an important part of our ongoing work in Marginalized Communities and we are so grateful for your sacrificial giving. Despite the current challenges -- as well as famine in the country and the increase in the cost of living -- we at Family Care are still able to continue our Weekly Care Package Program for those who are suffering the most from the effects of the increasing poverty. -- Annual visit to the Olives Center in Bombolulu Slum, Mombasa, where 120 children from poor backgrounds receive an opportunity to learn. Family Care supports the Daily School Lunches as many of the children come to school hungry. During our recent visit, books, notebooks, teaching materials and hygiene items were also donated, as well as over 100 Food Packages for the poorest families of the pupils. Some of the best students have been sponsored for Secondary Schools in recent years.

In October, Family Care Missions participated in a Hunger Relief Program in the arid region of Kajiado County. Our team visited a number of Masai Villages and an orphanage. We were able to distribute thirteen tons of food to over 500 needy families mobilized by local chiefs. According to KTN News, over five million people are suffering from famine this year, as many regions of the country have not had significant rainfall for over three years.
