FAMILY CARE AT THE OLIVES CENTER IN BOMBOLULU
Dear Friends -- A special Thank You goes to our faithful friends and supporters, who help us to provide services for projects like the Olives Center in Mombasa which caters for children from poverty-stricken households.
The Olives Center presently educates 110 children from Nursery Level to Standard 8, completed with Government Exams. All pupils and staff receive a daily School Lunch as well as counselling for children who are exposed to abuse and hardship. Twelve of the best achievers were sponsored for high school education in the last two years. The Center also provides adult literacy classes for those who didn’t have a chance to go to school during childhood.

RECENT VISIT WITH THE OLIVES PROJECT: Hygiene and cleaning supplies, new plates/cups, pots and books for the new curriculum as well as stationary needs were donated. Needed repairs of the kitchen and classrooms were done and provisions to assist with the school lunches for the next three months were sorted. Over 100 needy families of the adjacent village received large food packages and the 11 teachers were also gifted with a bonus for their faithful service to the children of this poor community.
