WHAT YOUR SUPPORT ACCOMPLISHED DURING 2020

Your help made it possible for our faithful volunteers to weekly distribute hundreds of kilos of Food Aid in Marginalized Communities. The packages were often carried through garbage-strewn, muddy slum lanes to the homes of the elderly and sick.

Needed repairs for the re-opening of the Stev-In Junior School and the Olives Rehabilitation Center, as well as Teacher‘s Salaries were sponsored.

Breakfast porridge and supplies for lunches are provided for hundreds of children from poor house-holds.

Cleaning Stations and Sanitary Supplies were donated to a number of Informal Schools. Support was provided for the relocation of the Brainstorm School in Kibera that was demolished.

Several Income-Generating-Projects for widows and a Kibera Youth Group were funded and set up by our Family Care Team.

FAMILY CARE AGENDA FOR THE FIRST PART OF 2021

Those months of Covid-19 have surely presented numerous challenges for many of us, but even more so for those who lost their livelihood due to extreme poverty, illnesses and job losses.

Since the Pandemic is far from over, we would like to continue with the distribution of Food Ration Packages to help ensure food security for those who suffer from ailments such as Cancer, TB and HIV/Aids.

Children from poor households often come to school hungry. Many of them show signs of chronic mal-nutrition. Family Care plans to keep facilitating Food Supplies for Lunches of empoverished pupils, as well as Hygiene and First Aid Supplies and Sanitary Towels for Teenage Pupils who can‘t afford the necessary.
