History -- Summary
HISTORY: In 1995 our family came to Kenya as volunteers and took over the registered Relief Organization Family Care Missions in 2003. For the last 30 years we have provided voluntary services -- in teamwork with Kenyan colleagues -- to the poorest of the poor in marginalized areas and slums of the country.

2024/2025 SUMMARY
School Lunch Programs: To help prevent malnutrition among children from poor families, two Informal Schools receive monthly supplies for school lunches, as well as Exercise Books and Reference Materials. Repair of walls, kitchen floors and toilet facilities for the Olives and Stev-In Schools were sponsored.
Sanitary Needs: Addressing the critical issues of girls missing school due to the lack of sanitary products, Family Care provides necessary hygiene articles for teenage girls.
Counselling Service: Hours are spent in counselling, offering prayer and encouragement to those who face terminal illness, often caused by environmental hazards that are all too prevalent in the slums.
Self-Help Projects for jobless youth and widowed families are underway.
Through the Care Package Project hundreds of vulnerable families receive regular food aid, thus mitigating hardships caused by sickness, unemployment and rising poverty.
Kenya Ostomy Assosiation: In collaboration Family Care addresses critical needs, offers hope and material support for impoverished colostomy patients.
Follow-up: Our team of local helpers on the ground who are busy mobilizing and distributing supplies to those who are bedridden, also check on the progress of the sponsored Self-Help Projects.
Your assistance stands as a testimony of compassion, empowerment and transformation in the face of adversity.
We thank you for taking part in making many broken lives considerably better!
