Olives Rehabilitation Center

In 2001 Family Care Missions helped the Were brothers through networking with local sponsors to set up a Teaching and Rehabilitation Program for children from the Bombolulu Slums in Mombasa. Now the school has grown to over 200 children who receive Primary Schooling, Counseling and Care. Many of the children have received sponsorship for Secondary Schools and some who have completed the Program are working as apprentices in various local companies.

Family Care Missions supports the School Lunch Program with regular food items and donations. These lunches provide the children with the only meal most of them live on in a day.

The Olives Center has become an oasis where children can be cared for and forget the hardships of life in the slums for some hours.
